5 hurt as two groups clash in Madaripur
At least five people were injured in a clash between two groups at Shaheb Bazar in Shibchar upazila on Tuesday night.
Sources said, Monir Matbor had borrowed an amount from Minar Bepari. On Tuesday night an altercation took place between them when Minar wanted his money back Shaheb Bazar area.
At one stage of their altercation Minar along with his gang swooped on Monir and his supporters.
Hearing the news, Manzar Bapari, brother of local UP chairman, rushed to the spot and joined hands with Minar and fired several gun shots that leaving people injured including two hit by bullets.
Bullet injured Faruk Bapari, 45, and Jalal Bapari, 40, along with Latif Bapari, 50, Dulal Bapari, 35, and Kamal Bapari, 20, were rushed to Shibchar health complex.
