Tiger kills fisherman
Tiger killed a fisherman at Bhimrulkhali Canal in the Sundarbans under Shymnagar upazila yesterday.
The dead was identified as Harej Ali Gazi, 54, son of Shahor Ali Gazi of Joyakhali villageof the upazila.
Forest Department sources said a tiger attacked Harej while he was fishing in the canal in the morning and dragged him into deep forest.
Later, forest guards with the help of local fishermen recovered Harej's body and handed it over to his family members, said Assistant Conservative of Forest (ACF) Toufiqul Islam.
