2 commit 'suicide'
Two housewives allegedly committed suicide by taking poison in Tala and Kalaroa upazilas on Tuesday and Sunday.
The victims were identified as Shirina Begum, 20, wife of Shamim Hossain of village Balia in Tala upazila and Monowara Begum, 28, wife of Amirul Islam of village Tulshidanga in Kalaroa upazila.
Quoting local people police said, following a family feud Shirina took poison early Tuesday.
She was taken to Tala upazila health complex in critical condition where she died at about 11am.
In the other incident, Monowara Begum, mother of two children took poison at her house and died at about 11pm on Sunday.
