UP Chairman held in Kurigram
A Union Parishad (UP) chairman of Nageswari upazila in Kurigram district was arrested with a smuggled motor cycle on Thursday night.
Sources said, acting on a tip-off a team of police raided Raygonj bazar and arrested Raygonj UP chairman Nuruzzaman Mondal with a smuggled motor cycle.
There were allegations of terrorist activities, abduction and narcotic trading against him. He was an associate of Kurigram godfather and district BNP General Secretary Saifur Rahman Rana, sources said.
