Ruling party lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton who allegedly shot a kid in Gaibandha for “no reason” will be arrested if he does not surrender, says Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said ruling party lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton who allegedly shot a kid in Gaibandha for "no reason" will be arrested if he does not surrender.

The minister was talking to reporters at his ministry at Bangladesh Secretariat following a meeting, reports the Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

"None is being spared. Whoever commits a crime must face justice," he said.

MP Liton has been accused of shooting a 10-year-old in his constituency Sundarganj. The incident took place on October 2. The victim's father has sued the lawmaker for attempted murder.
