Fire at Gazipur jhut godown doused

A fire broke out at a jhut (scrap fabrics from garment factories) godown in Konabari of Gazipur city today.

The fire originated at the warehouse at Ambagan around 2:30pm, reports our Gazipur correspondent quoting Apurba Ball, station officer of Kaliakoir fire station.

On information, four fire-fighting units from Kaliakoir and Gazipur Sadar rushed to the spot and doused the blaze at 5:30pm, the station officer said.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
