20 crude bombs seized

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 20 crude bombs from a house near Benapole port area yesterday afternoon.

Lt Colonel Selim Reza, commanding officer of 49 BGB Battalion, said, acting on a tip-off, they raided the house of one Rashid near the port yesterday afternoon and seized 20 crude bombs hidden in the toilet.

The BGB troops, however, failed to arrest anyone in this connection.

Intelligence agencies are investing the matter, he said.
