Renowned classical maestros of the country performed at the ‘3rd National Classical Festival’ held at Mymensingh Zila Shilpakala Academy auditorium recently. The two-day long festival concluded in October 26.

A two-day theatre festival on a single political play titled Mudrarakhasa was staged at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) recently.

Two theatre companies, Bahurupi Natya Sangstha from Mymensingh and Angan Belgharia from Kolkata, staged two plays in a houseful auditorium at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Mymensingh. Bahurupi Natya Sangstha organised the event, marking their 45th founding anniversary.

Thirty-five year old Sreedhar Das works as cobbler in Mymensingh city. Every year, on the occasion of puja celebrations, this young dhak (a percussive instrument) artiste plays the instrument at Puja mandaps, especially during Durga Puja.
