Executed JMB militants

Under the title "The truth, twisting in the wind", Mr. Naeem Mohaiemen expressed his feelings and opinion on the JMB militants in an article that was published in The Daily Star on 8 March 2007. I am quoting a paragraph here from his write-up-- "The death penalty is wrong on humanistic ground, but also tactically in this case, because it chokes off the investigation trail. There is still time for this CTG to commute this sentences to life imprisonment, make public all documents from investigation to date, and continue interrogating them, through neutral, non-partisan investigation officers--- until we get the whole truth."

There is some merit in his suggestion. He mainly focused on revealing the truth behind the sudden rise and demise of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh. He has rightly pointed out that it is difficult to believe that a fantastically well-coordinated, accurately planned & timed, nationwide bombing campaign in 64 districts was staged by this small group of "radical Islamists". The nation has the right to know the real story behind their desperate attempt to establish Islamic Judiciary system.

So why didn't they let these condemned people speak to the media as the top two leaders wanted before & after their capture?
