PPP Chief Zulfikar Ali Bhutto declares in Karachi that his party will take part in East Pakistan’s by-election. He demands restoration of parliamentary democracy before January.
The first cabinet meeting chaired by Governor Malik is held at the secretariat. The newly appointed ministers downgraded their salaries to show their affinity towards Pakistan.
