- President Yahya Khan, ahead of hunting birds at Drig Lake, tells assembled national and provincial council members and eminent citizens of Larkana that the prevailing uncertainty will soon end with the empowerment of people’s government. Before leaving Larkana for Karachi, he tells reporters that his talks with Bhutto were successful. He says he talked openly with Bhutto and in many matters they are alike-minded. However, nothing could be says so soon, he says. Bhutto and Sheikh Mujib will talk among themselves. This trip, the president says, is a vacation trip.
