96 promoted to SP

The government has promoted a total of 96 officials of additional superintendent rank to the superintendent of police (SPs) with a view to bringing dynamism in its activities.

The Home Ministry today published a gazette notification to make it effective immediately, according to the ministry.

The officials have been promoted to the fifth pay grade, the ministry sources said.
