  • East Pakistan Governor Vice Admiral Ahsan Khan holds a closed door meeting with Awami League Chief Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his residence in Dhaka after returning from West Pakistan. This meeting implies significant because of the political whirlpool created in West Pakistan over commencing of the national assembly session and formulating the governance policy. After the discussion, Admiral Ahsan tells journalist that discussion was held on national and provincial issues.
  • Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto meets President Yahya Khan at the Presidential Palace.  They discuss on the crisis of governance policy in the country in a 2-hour long meeting.
  • At a rally in Hyadrabad, People’s Party Chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto says his party has not boycotted the upcoming National Assembly session. They will only join the session after getting assurance that their opinion will be heard and accepted if justified. His party sincerely wishes that the country get effective and serviceable governance policy and power handover to people’s representatives immediately.
  • Bulgarian Ambassador to Pakistan Professor Ivan Nenov meets Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his residence. Both leaders discuss bilateral issues.
  • West Pakistan PDP President Nawab Zada Nasurullah Khan urges President Yahya Khan to keep watch that the political parties work following the legal assembly act. He says president can end the ongoing crisis by announcing that whether he would approve any governance policy based on 6-point in the light of legal assembly act.
