Mustafa Sarwar, social service secretary of Pakistan Awami League welcomes the Soviet diplomat at Dhanmondi residence of Bangabandhu. Soviet consul general holds 1:30-hour long meeting with Bangabandhu.
  • Maulana Bhashani speaks to Ena representatives at Bhairab train station while returning to Dhaka from Sylhet. With a forewarning he says if Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bhutto does not come to Dhaka for the upcoming National Assembly session, the country will face reign of terror. Explaining his remarks he says people is driving a bloody struggle for 11 years to establish a democratic political system. People have reached the peak level of their patience. On a query, he says if the national assembly gets canceled, the people will East Pakistan would be forced to resort to a different path to reach their desired goal.
