- Mia Momtaz Doultana, president of Council Muslim League, in Lahore assures Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, chairman of Pakistan People’s Pary, of full support from him and his party to constitute a useful federal governance policy.
- Amanullah, chief of Punjab Farmers’ Association and member of Gujrat National Assembly, Khan Saheb (elected from Lyallpur-now known as Faisalabad), member of National Assembly meet Awami League Chief Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his residence. They discuss various problems and future governance policy of the country.
- Although the proposed Capital Banking for East Pakistan is principally set, the inauguration of the bank is delayed until formation of parliamentary government. The bank will start operation with Tk 3 crore as capital and government will buy share worth of Tk 1.5 crore of it.
- Pakistan handovers 25 passengers and 4 crews of an aircraft allegedly hijacked by two youths of Kashmir United Front. A spokesman of Pakistan foreign ministry says the incident is the expression of people’s frustration against the oppression and repression policy in the occupied Kashmir.
- Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani, at an interview with Ena in Chittagong, says Bhutto and Sheikh Mujib will be successful in running the administration for a long time if they respect their promise of establishing socialism.
