As per tradition, Chanchal Chowdhury is currently busy shooting for Eid dramas and web-series. The actor also waits the release of two of his movies.

"Last year, I couldn't really shoot for most of the Eid tele-fictions, as I needed to concentrate on my health. Only a small number of my works were featured on the private channels," said Chanchal Chowdhury.

"However, I am back shooting for various projects, and I have completed the shooting for Salauddin Lavlu's tele-fiction "Haradhoner Ekti Bagan". I am also in talks with other directors as well. Hopefully, I will be able to do more Eid dramas this year," mentioned the actor.

A lot of debate has centred around the fall in quality production of Television content. Chanchal has a more positive approach regarding the whole crisis.

"It's true that the quality of television programmes faced on a downward trajectory at some point. However, the quality has drastically improved in the last 3 years, as directors are emphasizing more on content-driven products," said the actor.

"With the rise in OTT, more and more channels want to produce different kinds of content. A sense of competition has built up within the two platforms, which will help to create more credible works in TV," added Chanchal.

The "Boli" actor's stellar performance in OTT lead to him pursuing more projects on the platforms.

"As an artiste, it's my responsibility to act, and I want to do roles that challenges me, be it through any medium. Last year, I did more web-films as they usually have unique plots, story and intriguing characters -- which is why I appeared less on TV. However, I am doing some tele-fictions right now," said the actor.

Chanchal Chowdhury currently awaits the release of two of his movies- Mejbaur Rahman Sumon's"Hawa" and Giasuddin Selim's "Paap Punno".

"I am not doing any films right now, as I am awaiting the releases of both the movies. I really hope that they release soon," said Chanchal.

The "Taqdeer" actor will be seen in Syed Ahmed Shawki's upcoming web-series "Karagar" which centres around the prisoner who appears mysteriously in a cell which has been locked for 50 years.
