Eminent artiste Bari Siddiqui and his daughter Elita Siddiqui enthralled a capacity-packed audience at Mymensingh's Advocate Tareq Smriti auditorium this weekend.

Eminent artiste Bari Siddiqui and his daughter Elita Siddiqui enthralled a capacity-packed audience at Mymensingh's Advocate Tareq Smriti auditorium this weekend.

The show was organised by Mymensingh police administration in the course of a flamboyant reception accorded to 20 girl footballers of Kalsindur of Dhobaura upazila of the district for their spontaneous performances in and outside the country.

Bari Siddiqui rendered 12 songs composed by bards Rashid Uddin, Ukil Munshi and Jalal Uddin Khan of Mymeningh region.

Siddiqui continued his performance with much applause from the audience, followed by a dance sequences related to the traditional culture of Mymensingh.

Artistes of Mymensingh Academy of Fine Arts, led by Nazmul Haque Lelin and Panna, performed several folk songs of this region.
